Handover Dinner – a Great Success!

It was an historic occasion marking two important events.

The Newbridge Kildare Lions Club held a celebratory meal. It was to mark the occasion of the District Handover to thank the outgoing District Governor Marion Conneely and welcome the new District Governor, Paul Allen, into post.

It was also to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Newbridge Kildare Lions Club receiving its Charter from the International Association of Lions Clubs!

The Handover Dinner was a great success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Keadeen Hotel. The live music from Panache and Highly Strung, the good food, the ambience of the hotel, the happy company of a pride of Lions and the sense of occasion all added up to create a memorable evening for all.

District Handover and Fortieth Year Celebratory Evening

The Newbridge-Kildare Lions Club invites you to The District Handover to thank the outgoing District Governor Marion Conneely and to welcome the District Governor Elect Paul Allen into post.

It also celebrates 40 years since the Newbridge-Kildare Lions Club received its Charter from the International Association of Lions Clubs.

In addition, five Newbridge Lions will be honoured with  long service Chevrons to recognise their commitment and dedication to the club. Their lengths of service go from 15 to 30 years! What a fantastic achievement.

It promises to be a very special occasion and tickets are selling fast – over 130 places have been sold already so book early to avoid disappointment.

The celebration will take place at the Keadeen Hotel on Saturday July 16th.

The evening starts with Summer Punch at 7.30 with the formal meal following at 8.00 pm.

It’s a black tie event in honour of the occasion and costs €50 per person.

Should you wish to book a room at the Keadeen, a single costs €125 and a double, €135. This includes breakfast. You will have to contact the hotel and make the booking arrangements directly with the hotel.
